Positive: What a great place to learn to surf. (We also saw many excellent surfers showing their stuff there.) You could surf off the beach in front of the resort. The people were so friendly. It was nicely out of the main Baler strip, so it was quiet and suited us totally. Baler is a cool place. Pet friendly which was very important to us. Cool kontiki type bar right next door.

Negative: Better pillows and sheets, but that was it tbh.

Summary: Great pet friendly place for learner surfers and experienced ones too.
