Summary: We stayed at The Vintages in Dayton, Oregon, for the second time, having previously visited in 2023. While we appreciate that this is a pet-friendly property and enjoyed being able to bring our dogs along, this stay was a bit disappointing compared to our last visit. One thoughtful touch was that they provided toys for both of our dogs so they wouldn’t have to share or fight over them. However, there were a few areas where the experience fell short of expectations. Our reservation was for three people, but there were only two mugs available, and the patio only had two chairs. My husband ended up having to pull a chair from another space so we could all sit together. We also noticed water leaking from the rear of our trailer, Airlyft. We notified the staff, and they acknowledged the issue, but no one came to inspect it during our stay. The property also appeared to be lacking maintenance, with chipped paint on the porch and gaps between the flooring planks inside the trailer. Overall, things did not feel as clean or well-maintained as we would expect for the price. Decaf coffee was also the only option available. We understand that it was the off-season, but that shouldn’t mean cleanliness and basic maintenance are overlooked. Since the pool is closed during the cooler months, it would also be nice to have an alternative amenity, such as a hot tub or indoor sauna, for guests to enjoy.
